Hello to all the wonderful children joining our Reception and Nursery classes in September 2020!

We are looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know you better as you start your wonderful journey at Carlyle!

Please start to look through our new starters’ page here and find out what Carlyle is really like.

In order to prepare your child, we will be sharing a number of videos over the next 2 weeks, which may answer some of the adult’s questions. One of the videos will also contain a story for your child to listen to and watch. The children will also get to hear some lovely messages from the current Carlyle children.  We will also include weekly tips to complete at home. This will prepare your child and begin to get them ready to start at Carlyle. Please watch out for the weekly activity updates, and join in with the fun! This will begin on Monday 6th July and be shared every Monday for 8 weeks, with a different theme every week and a new activity a day linked to the theme of the week.

Your child will also be receiving something in the post very soon – Adults keep this a surprise!

Hopefully you have all received an email from us with links to complete very important information. We are currently reading the forms we have received from parents and we thank you for this information.

Please fill out the form here so we can acknowledge you have read the above information. When completing this form, you can also write any further questions you may have. Alternatively, please do email these to info@carlyle.theharmonytrust.org FAO Mrs Hayre / Mrs Besenzi and we will of course answer these.

Keep an eye out for updates to ‘The New Starters’ page. See you all very soon!

The Carlyle Early Years Team

All parents and carers of pupils onsite – Appointments/Transition Meetings

Please can we remind you that as per the reopening introductory letter sent out, we have limited staff and flexibility in moving children around for late drop offs or early pickups. If your child has an appointment or transition time at another school, please keep them at home with you that day. Ideally children should not be mixing between schools or ‘bubbles’ within the same day, following government guidance.

To all parents/carers of children currently attending school

Please can we remind you of the 2 metre social distancing. This includes when you are out about in the local community or with people you know. Please do not hug ,make contact with or break the current 2 metre social distancing guidelines outside of your own household bubble. It is essential that we know you are taking this seriously as we aim to keep all children and staff safe in school, free from risk of harm.

Please also refrain from chatting outside on the main footpath as other parents and carers cannot easily get in to collect their child on time. We ask that you are on time to collect your children – some children were standing in the sunshine a few minutes this afternoon.

Thank you to those following these rules for safety to all.

Home Learning Packs

Home learning packs will be given out tomorrow between 12-2pm outside the hall doors for all families that have not yet been to collect one this week! Also please can we ask Year 2 children to bring back their leavers sheet we handed out last week – if you did not receive this sheet please ask for one when you arrive this week. Thank you.
