Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the trip to St Peter’s church, Littleover next Friday 4th March due to unforeseen circumstances. Further details will be communicated out in due course. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Thank you to everyone one who entered the family word search competition – we made a fantastic £43!
The winner for the most answers was Harry Hunt (Class 6) and his family and the winner of the prize draw was Uzair M. Saifal-Rehman and his family (Class 1).
We’d also like to say a massive thank you to Denby Pottery and Zanfish who donated the prizes.

Our individual school photos will be taken on the 1st March. You are invited to bring siblings for photos between 8 and 8:45 that morning to have photos taken together. Please come to the school office and then go through to the library between these times only.
Your child should already have a paper copy of the PTFA’s family word search competition, There is an electronic copy attached just in case you need any additional copies.
There is a family ticket for the Craft Room Experience at Denby Pottery for the family that find the most correct answers. But don’t forget that every entry will be entered in to a draw for a £20 Zan Fish voucher so it’s worth entering even if you don’t think you’ve found enough answers to win the main prize.

It was brought to our attention recently by some parents that there is no barrier on the public highway at the base of our new school footpath. This would attempt to slow/stop children running along our new path and stop before entering the road from the Derby City Council footpath. Following this concern, Mrs Besenzi consulted Derby City Council and the Education Funding Agency who designed the new school path as part of the new build. This matter is now being discussed between the two agencies. In the meantime we have tried to lower the risk by considering putting a fence on our property to slow children. This created a problem due to size and restriction for pushchairs and wheelchairs. We have therefore temporarily attempted to lower the risk by placing two large plant pots to act as a slowing slalom. We would hope to seek your support in asking children to walk close to your side and supporting this by contacting Derby City Council Highways directly to move this forward.
Thank you for your continued support.
